GUEST SPEAKERS

Tues 26th Jan, Uckfield
Jo White
Wishing Well Musicians in Healthcare

Wishing Well music charity work in partnership with a number of NHS trusts and charities across the South East, bringing live interactive Music for Wellbeing into hospitals and hospices. Their musicians work closely with healthcare staff to make sure their approach is right for each individual person.

On Dementia wards they use reminiscence repertoire and creative improvisation to help people with dementia connect with their families and care givers, stimulate memories and to define themselves in the present through taking part in music.

They support wellbeing in healthcare by creating environments that make people feel safe and by encouraging a healthcare culture that helps staff interact with the person, as well as treating the health condition. They support the whole community around the patient, including families, care givers and staff in interactions and aim to improve the overall sound ecology of clinical spaces.
